nEw Asia bAr @ rAffles City

New Asia Bar is totally cool, it has nice view, nice atmosphere and cool drinks although mine didnt turn out that well. All the interns including my other colleagues, Aislinn & Rachel plus Gerry who we saw there too went there for a drink. We order 20 shooters!!! Each drank around 3 shots. But it wasnt that strong as i expected but the last cup was horrible. And each of us ordered a glass of cocktail, mine was Strawberry Fruitini, don't be cheated by its name, it was totally the strongest alcoholic drink I ever tasted. Just horrible!!! Here are some pictures we took of the drinks.

I think the green is apple flavour, got strawberry, lychee, grape and hm..dunno whats the last one. :>

Jealousy

We all get jealous from time to time in our romantic relationships. It's only human, I suppose, and a bit of jealousy every now and then shouldn't be a problem; some people even believe that when you're jealous of someone spending time with your partner, it means that your feelings for him or her haven't faded.

But when jealousy involves severe and persistent fear and insecurity, it can destroy your relationship. This kind of jealousy is dangerous and powerful because it gnaws at you consistently, day and night, eating into your peace of mind, your time, and your ability to think about other things. It's a self-inflicted disease that, very often, has no basis in fact. And, as is most often the case, this kind of jealousy is ironically the very thing that eventually drives your partner away.

If you're worried about being replaced by somebody else, you probably suffer from some degree of low self-esteem. You don't have confidence in your own value and attractiveness and are constantly besieged by thoughts of someone usurping your position. Negative self-image can lead to self-defeating behaviours. It can cause people to act desperately and irrationally. It can end up controlling your life and straining your relationship.

Since jealousy has its root in low self-esteem, the first thing you have to do is work on your self-worth. Your feelings of inferiority probably stem from past experiences that conditioned you over time to believe consciously or subconsciously that you don't deserve happiness, love or success. Thinking that someone better and more attractive will eventually "steal" your partner is caused by the feeling that you don't deserve love; that you will ultimately lose in the romantic stakes.

Get the past out of the way. Seriously, stop believing in cliches like "history repeats itself". It need not. You have a choice. You can look forward to a better future, or keep imagining the worst.

Next, get in touch with and embrace your own uniqueness. That's what your partner fell in love with. That's what nobody else has. Re-connect with your authentic self and let it shine through. Don't get into the habit of comparing yourself with others or competing with others. When you aim to be like other people, you lose your own individuality. Your personality comes from your uniqueness. Find out what's missing in your life, and pursue it.

You will find that the more confident and secure you are about your place in the relationship, the more important and attractive you'll be to your partner. Insecurity and jealousy are very unsightly features on any person.

Had lunch at Oriental hotel today, the food at melt cafe (i think) in the hotel was super nice!! They really have different variety of food there, have thai food, western food, grilled hotdogs, indian food, Jap food, Chinese food & desserts!!! &...

ICE CREAM CORNER plus SWEETS (shown below)

This is juz one bottle, got over 10 bottles there lor and you can pick anyone you want and put how much you want..they got nuts, m&ms, chocolates, jelly, marshmallows, gummy sweets, cola sweet, colourful sprinkles, chocolate sunflower seed and more..cant rmember liao..really like a candy paradise. Then when you walk to the side, you get cakes..omg..more pics..oops before that, i forgot to add the ice cream waffle that you can get from the sweets there..apparently she didnt add any sweets. (my supervisor ice cream) - finished mine before i took a picture of it..ai yo..so took my supervisor's one instead. :>

Ok, this first post got nothing to do with werid..juz wanna post it. Just went to watch the 'Poseiden' with my da jie, haha! The show is not bad, something like titanic but without the romance plus thrilling stuff..

Okie, now to the werid part. My sis's alarm clock just went off by itself. The pointer for the alarm was not even pointing to the time that it went off and the alarm was not on but it rang anyway. So freaky!!! Maybe the clock is abit spoil already, haha! Lets not think of the eerie part and think logical. haha!

Sigh..take or not to take, really no idea. Didnt get into NTU and SMU but NUS accept me. Dun get all excited or anything. They offer me another course, project & Facilities mangement. really no idea what jobs come out of that. Trying to dig up information on that course to see if it is interesting. So considering to take that module or not..hm..think i will appeal to NTU first and if not successful..guess i will take up that course. Oh well...

Sigh, cant believe i was ever so disappointed in my life. Well, I was that disappointed with myself on 4 May & 7 May 2006. Got rejection letters from NTU and SMU...kinda hate this two days..Sigh, got my hopes high for nuthing...it all got smash away when i received the first letter. Oh well, life can't be all smooth sailing, there will be a time when I will be in a dump. Oh well, better not get my hopes up for NUS, if not i will be even more upset if i get rejected. Got to get ready for appealing. Sigh, May is such a crapiated (if theres such word) month in my life. Oh well, just gonna stop here and forget about it. Nitez everYone!

Hi to everyone reading my blog, this will be my official first post. Although I have not totally set up my blog properly. Oh well, can't wait that long. Gonna sleep soon at work, got to burn stuff into 50 DVDs!!! Oh man, and it takes so long for the DVDs to burn. Gonna sleep soon. Help!!! Trying not to sleep by walking back to the hr room to do some work before going back to the IT helpdesk room to check on the burning. But today is not all that bad, :> went to Imperial Kitchen or sth (*forgot the name) but is another outlet by Crystal Jade. Went with the hr team, and ate lots and lots of Dim SUm!!! Yum, ate carrot cake, chicken feet, porridge, scrimp dumplings, char siew bun, char siew sou....ok, im not sure how to spell the rest but i guess everyone know what you eat at Crystal Jade. Then ate Almond paste for dessert!!! Was so full after that meal *no wonder i was so sleepy. (ps. my diet plan is totally gone). But is freaking expensive for that meal. Oh well, thats why it is called Imperial. Fit for the king!! :P
